What will you do?
As an Associate Civil Engineer in the Land Infrastructure & Precincts team, you will play an integral leadership role in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients. We have a deep understanding of our clients’ challenges, and we work together to co-create innovate solutions that help to shape future Cities and Precincts.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver highly complex, precinct scale projects for a broad cross-section of public and private clients. As a trusted partner, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients and lead teams through the full infrastructure asset lifecycle from infrastructure planning studies to design, approvals, documentation and delivery. You will play a key role advising client on front end feasibility and investments that set parameters of their projects, drive value and foreshadow complexities throughout future stages.
You will liaise across a diverse spread of our technical teams to provide consolidated strategic design guidance, management, and advice to clients across a range of market sectors such as water, wastewater, recycled water, energy, telecommunications, stormwater, and circular economies. Moreover, you will lead and develop relationships with a wide range of clients and critical internal and external stakeholders in particular NSW Government, utility authorities, private developers and investors. As a result, you will be responsible for engaging with clients and actively involved in business development and growing the Land Infrastructure and Precincts sector within the business. The role will support the NSW market with extensive opportunities to assist and develop new business in both nationally and internationally.
As a senior leader within the Land and Water Practice, you will be draw on your extensive experience to provide mentoring and support to up and coming mid-levels and juniors in the team. Aurecon will provide the tools and framework to help you develop your team and, importantly, continue your own ongoing learning and professional development, further build eminence, and enhance your technical professional standing within the industry.
What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. On a technical level, you will have hands on Project experience at all phases of the project’s life cycle. You will ideally have experience leading teams through master planning, feasibility studies, infrastructure studies, and be able to model sound technical and design management principles which set the standard amongst the cohort.
Moreover, the successful candidate will demonstrate experience in managing multiple utilities services and will understand regulatory frameworks for planning and delivery of utility services as it relates to land development.
Successful candidates will be great all-round communicators and problem solvers who are able to work on complex tasks across various sectors of the business while interacting with internal and external clients and dealing with middle to senior level professionals to form great relationships. You will showcase that you are a strong team player who works well in an agile and collaborative environment.
