Associate Civil Engineer – Defence Sector

Our National Civil Infrastructure team specialises in the design of all civil aspects for the markets Beca operate, which includes Defence, Transport, Power, Water and Industrial markets. This is a skilled high performing team providing civil expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks and road/pavement design across Australia. Increasingly these are within the Defence infrastructure sector.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our established civil team is growing and looking for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our NSW team.

This is a varied role that includes managing and delivering defence projects with support from our technical specialists, liaising with clients and design management:

  • Design management, Project Management and co-ordination of multidisciplinary defence civil projects.
  • Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team including the development of work flow processes to take a design from feasibility to detailed design;
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to our young, enthusiastic team members with respect to your technical area of expertise as well as project planning and execution;Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit and securing of projects with our clients and industry partners;
  • Participation within the transport leadership group to help define and shape our strategy to respond to the needs of the market;
