Job Description Join our Queensland Urban Development team as we continue to grow! We're seeking a technically excellent Associate Engineer to join our team based in Brisbane who is interested to make their mark leading impactful projects locally within QLD and nationally! Our Queensland Urban Development team is 50+ strong and responsible for some of the leading development projects in Southeast Queensland. This role is ideal for a Chartered Engineer with significant technical expertise in large-scale greenfield and brownfield developments, as well as commercial, industrial, and medium-density projects. In this opportunity, you will deliver technically excellent client solutions for projects of a complex nature. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional seeking future pathways into team or business management. You'll be responsible for: Provide technical expertise and advice through the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification Lead and deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation Lead meetings with project stakeholders including clients, other Egis disciplines as well as external consultants Contribute to the training and development of technical resources engaged in project teams by providing technical leadership and advice, assuming leadership for project teams of engineers as and when required Manage work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements and is performed within the bounds of the organisation’s policies and procedures Undertake financial management of projects by monitoring the actual time and cost expended on the total project against the budget, informing client of any changes in scope of work or other causes of variances from project resources Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards Qualifications Ideally, you will have 10+ years’ experience with demonstrated technical expertise in a similar role with a focus on urban development and urban communities in Queensland. In addition, you will also have: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering CPEng status (or close to obtaining) RPEQ or willingness to obtain Experience in successfully managing projects meeting Client objectives. Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes. Strong understanding of greenfield projects Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements and business development opportunities.
