The General, a subsidiary of Sentry Insurance, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide prompt and professional administrative support to both internal and external customers, helping ensure the efficient and accurate handling of Claims. Your strong organizational skills and commitment to service excellence will contribute directly to the success of our Claims operations. This role will be staffed in our Nashville, TN office. What You'll Do Our Associate Claims Support team supports, Process incoming claims mail including sort, prep, scan, and index mail. Processes claims services including file distribution, issuing claim payments and entering documentation into the claims system. Adhere to claims requirements including corporate claim standards, company claim bulletins, code of ethics and Unfair Claim Practice Acts. Respond to incoming calls via the claims support phone line including: route callers to the appropriate party; answer questions and perform other administrative tasks to assist the caller. Updates information within the claim system. Verify claim payments to financial institutions. Issues monetary credits, correct minor payment errors. Research and compile information for adjusters (letter of guarantees, title transfer documents, etc.) Assist adjusters through the management of designated tools and technology to support the business goals and guidelines. Serve as a liaison between adjusters, and salvage providers. Communicates with lienholders; salvage vendors, and other associated parties involved in the disposition total loss claims. Additionally, you will: Serves as technical expert for approved third party evaluation company. Assist staff with the resolution of complex salvage sales. Develops, compiles, and supports assessment of data for reports. Provides other support for claims activities as needed. What it Takes Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service. Basic knowledge of claims support policies and procedures Solid knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in various PC software applications. Keyboarding/typing ability at 35 wpm.
