Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator - 2298847
This position is onsite and full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Our office is located at 325 Broad St., Sumter, SC.
This will be paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule.
Colonial Healthcare, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Sumter, SC. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • CPR / BLS Certified
  • Ability to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of Health Care OR Office experience
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology

Responsibilities
  • It is the responsibility of Call Backs and referrals to handle referrals of patients who are inside and outside of the practice, check on the status of referrals and to communicate with patients providing status of referrals
  • It is also the responsibility to facilitate the calls and voicemails from patients pertaining to concerns, questions, refills and appropriately documenting in patient chart via telephone encounters
  • Call backs and referral employees work under the direct supervision of their provider and will advise the provider as appropriate to take care of patient needs
