Optum is seeking Associate Clinical Care Coordinator to join our growing team. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally. Schedule: A 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM or until last patient leaves. Schedule may change due to business needs. May be asked to float to other locations for coverage, as needed. Location: 325 Broad St, Suite 100, Sumter, SC 29150 Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for call backs and referrals Handle referrals of patients who are inside and outside of the practice, check on the status of referrals and communicate with patients providing status of referrals. Responsible for facilitating the calls and voicemails from patients pertaining to concerns, questions, refills and appropriately documenting in patient chart via telephone encounters. Call back and referral employees work under the direct supervision of their provider and will advise the provider as appropriate to take care of patient needs. Creating Tricare Account Inputting Tricare Referrals Referrals Documenting notes in Referrals Documentation on Telephone encounters Creating Telephone encounters Accessing and Checking outlook Email E-Faxing Telephone Etiquette Accessing and Checking Voicemails Checking E-Fax daily Signatures on results from providers before scanning documents. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Active medical assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or nursing assistant certification (CNA). CPR certified upon hire or ability to obtain within 30 days 1+ years in a medical office, experience with EMR, medical terminology, and previous experience in the medical field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records (ECW) 1+ year working of clinical experience 1+ year customer service experience Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans Knowledge of medical terminology Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
