JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Clinical Resource Associate Director is responsible for actively participating and successfully completing the Clinical Resource Associate Director program. This competency-based program will provide extensive developmental activities to prepare the Clinical Resource Associate Director to become a Clinical Resource Director or another key management position within HealthTrust Supply Chain organization. The program will include developing effective decision-making skills related to judgment and performance, developing strategies to incorporate evidence-based literature into their role and developing leadership skills to support the hospital in their supply expense and quality agenda. The Clinical Resource Associate Director will complete field training, didactic sessions and computer modules designed to enhance their management and technical skills. Upon completion of the program, the Clinical Resource Associate Director must demonstrate competencies for the position and relocate to any hospital that HealthTrust services.

What you will do in this role:

  • Successfully complete and pass scheduled classroom training. The curriculum includes, but is not limited to, Harvard Management courses, Supply Chain University programs, and other programs as identified.
  • Successfully complete field-training assignments, within a hospital or division setting.
  • Assigned initiatives and functions as a project coordinator for facility and division projects to further enhance their management and technical skills.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and processes to reduce supply expense per adjusted admission while maintaining or improving quality and outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of product standardization, improving contract compliance and product utilization.
  • Participate, develop content and lead a Supply Management Action team (SMAT) meeting and progress to participating, developing content and leading a Clinical Value Analysis Team (CVAT) or a Service Line Value Analysis meeting.
  • Begin to build relationships with Hospital Leadership, Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Directors, Physicians, Analysis Committees and Supply Chain.
  • Begin to have a basic understanding of supply expense management, which includes supply expense planning and HCA’s supply general ledger structure. This will include identifying and explaining supply expense variances that are not performing based on budget and prior year.
  • Participate in and meet the requirements of quarterly reviews, given by the Division Clinical Resource Director and / or the Supply Chain CEO to remain in the program. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”

What Qualification you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical / healthcare experience in an acute setting is required.
  • Patient care experience highly preferred
  • Experience with computer skills for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • LPN/RN, Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Value Analysis Health Professional (CVAHP), or similar credential highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel within the division up to 75%
