Associate Collector – Santa Ana, Costa Rica

Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • For this position, you will be making calls to the agents to determine the reason for payment delinquency and obtain payment commitment by placing outbound calls which are predominantly routine, but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures.
  • Perform different offline tasks that may involve interaction with different stakeholders and use of different systems for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Performs one or more of the following operational support Accounts Receivable: reviews/investigations, negotiation of receivable settlements, remittance tracking, database maintenance, documentation control, with the highest volume agents or special subscribers.
  • Work with Supervisor to ensure all assigned agent accounts are reconciled in order to have a solid starting point for recovering funds, work with Sales to coordinate the best attention to the agents.
  • Analyze risk of collection cases and different scenarios, to mitigate losses.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or be a student in finance, accounting, business administration or related.
  • 1 year of experience in collections ideally, or in finance or accounting.
  • English required (B2+ - minimum).
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (VLOOK UP, filtern and tables handling).
  • Experience in ERP -Enterprise Resource Planning- software (such as ORACLE, AS400, etc.) is preferred.
  • Autonomous, independent and decision-making skills are required.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
