JOB SUMMARY
The Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) is a new shared corporate service, launched in July 2023. It provides corporate services (HR, Finance, Digital, Commercial, Security and Estates) across the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT).

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Associate Commercial Lead will provide you with an invaluable insight into how the Commercial team supports the wider ICS, DESNZ, and DSIT family to deliver critical services to the public.
We are seeking a strong communicator and an enthusiastic team mate, who can think on their feet to lead the delivery of Commercial objectives.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting commercial activity across Corporate Services. This is a broad area covering customers in; Commercial, Operations, Security, Finance, Communications, Ministerial Offices, Analysis, and HR.
The successful applicants will report to the Commercial Lead for Corporate Services.
Projects and work packages could vary from multi-million-pound media services to implementing cyber security packages, and new digital platforms supporting the whole department for cross-departmental work.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the sourcing process, including: market engagement, launching procurements on the e-sourcing portal, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations
- The role is primarily Sourcing, involving the identification of the most Value for money ways to contract, leading end to end competitive and single source procurement activities.
- You will provide commercial advice and guidance, ensuring all procurement activities represent best value for money and all activity undertaken is in line with HMG procurement policy, applicable regulations, and best practice.
- You will initiate, develop and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholder, to enable early identification and resolution of issues.
- You will uphold and evidence commercial best practice and transparency through updating and maintaining of the commercial E-Procurement system, Jaggaer.
- You will maintain the Commercial Activity Log (Pipeline) for our up-and-coming projects and our Contracts Agreement Register.
- You will lead the contract management process, including performance management, appropriate management of contract information, variations and extensions.
- The job holders will need to be well organised and able to prioritise effectively, work independently and be required to work closely with stakeholders across the Department.
