Job Introduction
We’re looking for an exceptional Associate Commercial Practitioner to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our Associate Commercial Practitioner, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. The commercial team charter requests a minimum of 6 days a month working from the office. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Our people are at the heart of what we do and we’ll do our best to agree a working pattern that works for everyone.
Whilst this is a temporary position for 12 months, there is potential for it to develop into a permanent position. Subject to this role being made permanent there may also be the opportunity for the post holder to progress to Associate Commercial Manager (HEO) upon completion of a development plan and continued progression towards achieving full MCIPS.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Able to demonstrate a general working knowledge and interest across all aspects of procurement with a desire to evolve these skills to develop a commercial career.

Responsibilities
  • Support the end-to-end procurement process for grants, products and services, leading on routine procurements and supporting a Commercial Lead on more complex procurements.
  • Working in close partnership with stakeholders across the organisation the role holder will be expected to develop relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regular monitoring and triaging of incoming emails and queries through team mailboxes.
  • Support the review of historic and future expenditure profiles relating to MO spend and undertake additional Ad Hoc tasks, e.g. maintenance of Commercial Comms sites, contributing to successful audits and undertaking due diligence task to identify possible risks, including sustainability risks and opportunities and escalate appropriately.
