Job Overview The Business Development Associate will play a critical role in identifying and initiating conversations with potential partners for TerraCycle’s Commercial Recycling division. This entry-level position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to gain experience in sales, lead generation, and business outreach. The primary focus of this role is front-end sales activities, including researching prospects, cold outreach, and pipeline development to support the growth of TerraCycle’s recycling solutions. Primary Responsibilities Conduct prospect research and identify key decision-makers across target industries. Perform high-volume outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage potential clients. Maintain and update lead databases, ensuring accurate tracking of outreach efforts. Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine potential business opportunities. Schedule introductory meetings and hand off qualified leads to senior team members. Collaborate with the sales team to develop outreach strategies and improve engagement. Assist in preparing client presentations and sales materials. Track and report outreach metrics to measure effectiveness and optimize approaches. Requirements Desired Qualifications 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or related field. Strong research and analytical skills for identifying potential clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Passion for sustainability and TerraCycle’s mission.
