Job details •Proposed designation : Associate Consultant •Role type : Individual contributor •Reporting to : Assistant Manager •Geo to be supported : Global Roles & responsibilities As an Associate Consultant in our team you will be responsible, amongst other things for: •Supporting in the delivery of infrastructure modeling projects for sectors such as power & utilities, transportation & social infrastructure •Supporting end-to-end infrastructure modeling and valuation engagements while working closely with the onshore team •Understanding the delivery models applied to the infrastructure projects lifecycle across construction, operations, financing & refinancing phases •Supporting implementation of design and structuring of infrastructure valuation models and reports •Support in the development and evaluation of quantitative financial, buy and sell Infrastructure deals and project finance models •Be aware of modelling risks, in accordance with KPMG risk management guidelines •Support in actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals •Contributing to knowledge management to support practice development Educational qualifications •MBA / PGDBM / CFA/CA Prior experience •Relevant experience (1-2 years) gained in either Corporate roles, Debt Syndication, Fund-raising, Project Finance, regulatory finance, PPP, Infra SPV’s or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable) Mandatory technical & functional skills •Be skilled in financial analysis •Understanding of modelling and valuation principals •Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR) •Supported in preparing infrastructure models from scratch and/or have experience into model audits/reviews (preferred but not mandatory) •Have basic knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financing •Have an ability to interpret outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client •Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements •Strong problem-solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word Key behavioral attributes/requirements •Personal drive and positive attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations •Effective written and verbal communication skills and good inter-personal skills to work effectively in a team •Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situations
Responsibilities
