We are seeking an Associate Consultant to join our collaborative, client-focused team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced consultants to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects for a diverse range of clients. You’ll help prepare and organize workshops, manage project documentation, track progress, and contribute to the development of high-quality deliverables across a range of consulting services, including value engineering and organization development. This position offers the opportunity to build consulting skills in facilitation, communication, and technical analysis while working in a dynamic, professional services environment. REQUIREMENTS

  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess strong skills in using the Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities

ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support client engagements by assisting in the coordination, planning, and facilitation of projects in alignment with defined scopes of work.
  • Prepare for workshops and meetings by organizing logistics, materials, and handouts in collaboration with lead consultants.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams before and after workshops, ensuring schedules, agendas, and study materials are distributed and up to date.
  • Document key discussions during client-facing sessions by taking accurate notes and meeting minutes.
  • Assist in developing deliverables such as reports, studies, calculations, and presentations under the guidance of lead consultants.
  • Ensure quality and consistency in all deliverables through editing, formatting, and applying both internal and client-specific standards.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants to confirm availability and align participation with project needs.
  • Support stakeholder communication efforts, including drafting outreach materials and coordinating messaging.
  • Assist in managing scope, schedule, and budget updates across internal teams and subconsultants.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation including contracts, work orders, task orders, and deliverables.
  • Actively build consulting skills in facilitation, communication, and technical domains by applying learning from ongoing projects.
  • Pursue relevant professional development and credentials to enhance expertise, such as a SAVE International Certified Value Specialist

ADDITIONAL VMS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply policies and procedures consistently to ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in producing and refining project documentation including progress and performance reports, organizational improvement plans, policies and procedures, management plans, and data entry manuals.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to promote continuous improvement on assigned projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date project records in the VMS enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Manage internal and external document control to ensure accurate filing and retrieval in both VMS and client systems.
  • Coordinate across departments to support consultants, operations, project coordination, marketing, and business development activities.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including expense reports and timecards within the ERP system.
  • Contribute to proposal development for RFPs and RFQs by gathering content, formatting materials, and assisting with submission.
  • Support marketing efforts by helping develop promotional materials and executing elements of marketing plans.
