About our client Our client is a growing digital agency specialising in web development, SEO, and content marketing. They support clients across industries with high-quality websites and content strategies. The Associate Content Lead role is part of their expansion to manage content creation across internal and client projects. You will work closely with the SEO Lead, internal teams, and clients to deliver optimised, brand-aligned content that drives results. About the role As an Associate Content Lead, you will manage content end-to-end for multiple client accounts, including planning, creation, editing, and delivery. You will oversee a team of writers, maintain quality standards, organise content calendars, and collaborate closely with SEO and client stakeholders to ensure alignment with both strategy and brand guidelines. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded content professional who is passionate about content marketing, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple projects independently while keeping all stakeholders informed. Responsibilities: Build, lead, and manage a team of writers producing blogs and website content Manage in-house editing to ensure content quality, accuracy, and readability Ensure content is approved by stakeholders and incorporates requested changes Meet with clients for onboarding, content reviews, and interviews with subject matter experts as needed Collaborate with SEO and team leads to ensure content topics, structure, and style match SEO requirements and brand guidelines Develop and maintain content calendars for multiple clients across industries Create and assist in style guides and brand questionnaires to ensure consistency across content creators Keep content organised and up-to-date for publishing, with support from the SEO team Apply SEO best practices to ensure content is human-centred and optimised for readers Occasionally, write content to support delivery when required Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, maintaining timely turnaround Requirements: 2+ years of experience in content marketing, digital content, or editorial roles Strong experience editing web content and blog-style articles Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality Experience managing multiple projects or high-volume content workflows Ability to create clear, structured, and detailed content briefs Strong organisational and time management skills Basic understanding of SEO principles (keywords, search intent, structure) Ability to work independently without the need for micromanagement Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team environment Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack Experience in a marketing or SEO agency environment is preferred Ability to write content when needed is an advantage Experience working with international clients is preferred Comfortable participating in client calls or meetings is an advantage Familiarity with SEO tools and content optimisation practices is highly regarded
