Together with Ashoka Innovators for the Public, we seeded the vartaLeap Coalition, now a 200+ cross-sectoral alliance across development, government, media, education and UN agencies. Learn more: www.commutiny.in Designation The Associate Coordinator Narrative Building Team contributes to designing, shaping and amplifying youth-centric narratives across platforms. The role involves building stories, supporting digital engagement, co-creating campaigns, collaborating with youth leaders and ecosystem partners, and bringing visibility to public initiatives and changemakers. It requires a balanced blend of creativity, coordination and process orientation. This position places a strong emphasis on youth-centric narrative creation, content innovation and supporting the visibility of programmes, people and ecosystem efforts. Specific Responsibilities Include Craft and Implement Narrative Strategies - Create powerful youth-centric narratives across online and offline platforms from sharp one-liners to immersive campaign stories that shape public imagination. - Co-produce podcasts, visual stories, short films and event experiences that engage and inspire. Amplify Voices Across the Ecosystem - Collaborate with youth leaders, facilitators, storytellers, influencers, media partners and vartaLeap Coalition members to take movements like Beyond Right & Wrong to wider audiences. - Support digital outreach through Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube by producing and curating content that strengthens youth-centric narratives. Design With Both Heart and Data - Track engagement, study digital trends, and use analytics to build imaginative and strategic campaigns. - Compile and write impact stories, anecdotes and narrative outputs from the ground. Support Implementation and Coordination - Assist in planning and managing timelines for narrative activities, campaigns and events. - Coordinate with teams, youth leaders and partners to ensure smooth processes and timely deliverables. Competencies Required Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to translate complexity into clarity Creative writing skills across formats, reels, scripts, blogs, campaign copy Digital fluency in Instagram, LinkedIn and emerging platforms Basic video editing and graphic design ability Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong coordination and process management skills Ability to engage with diverse partners and youth leaders Curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking and a deep commitment to youth work Comfort with tools such as PowerPoint and Canva Required Qualifications A graduate or post-graduate degree in political science, sociology, social work, development studies, media & communication, journalism or any relevant field. Required Work Experience 1-3 years of relevant experience in communications, storytelling, digital engagement, campaigns, narrative design or youth-centric work. Knowledge of the youth sector will be an added advantage. Languages Fluency in English and Hindi Knowledge of another Indian language is a plus Salary Range 42,000 - 48,000 per month ComMutiny and vartaLeap value inclusion, diversity and professional integrity.
