Description Kendall Automotive Group | Corporate Legal Department Meridian, Idaho | In-Office | Local Candidates Preferred Overview The Associate Counsel is a key member of a collaborative in-house legal department at Kendall Automotive Group, one of the largest family-owned group of automotive dealerships in the Pacific Northwest with dealerships in Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Alaska. This role provides practical, business-oriented legal guidance across litigation and transactional matters while supporting operational objectives and minimizing risk. Responsibilities Provide legal advice on matters affecting dealership operations Manage litigation and coordinate with outside counsel Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements Support regulatory compliance, employment, and corporate governance matters Partner with internal teams to deliver pragmatic legal solutions Requirements J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Licensed and in good standing with the Idaho State Bar Oregon, Washington, and/or Montana bar membership a plus 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney Ability to handle both litigation and transactional matters Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively advise business leaders, draft legal documents, and communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
