INTERVIEW PROCESS

We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks depending on everyone’s calendars.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a pre-screening call via teams to discuss your experience and what you’re looking for in your next role.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Associate Cyber Security Analyst who will work in our 24x7 SOC team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting key day-to-day operations of our Security Operations Centre. This role is varied to support your continuous development and will include security alert investigation, vulnerability reporting, carrying out support tasks and engaging with third parties. You will be customer-focused and play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of their systems and data.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Triage: Monitor security queues, triage alerts, and determine incident severity.
  • Threat Analysis: Stay updated on threat intelligence and integrate it into operations.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Vulnerability Management: Support vulnerability scans and report generation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and participate in meetings.
  • Communication: Answer customer calls in a professional and friendly manner, acting as a first point of contact for Real Protect customers and IR engagements.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations and escalate complex cases.

YOU WILL SUIT THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience with security tooling, whether that be in a commercial setting or home lab.
  • Prior experience in an IT-related background.
  • Awareness of security technologies.
  • A willingness to learn and good attention to detail.
  • Experience in conducting security investigations and triaging alerts.
  • Understanding of threat intelligence and its integration into operations.
  • Strong communication skills for handling customer calls and emails.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • It is advantageous but not essential to have the following certificates: TryHackMe Level 1.
    It is a great opportunity to build on your skillset. Ideally, you’ll be educated to a degree level, with a degree in the relevant field and possess a keen interest in cyber-security.
