Are you passionate about driving innovation in online education and shaping Lancaster’s digital future?
We are seeking an Associate Dean, Lancaster Online (Interim), to lead the academic implementation of Lancaster Online, working closely with the PVC Global and the Associate Director of Global Engagement.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, management, and quality assurance of the University’s online degree programmes in partnership with our OPM provider. Collaborating with academic departments and stakeholders, you will champion digital innovation in teaching, pedagogy, and curriculum, ensuring alignment with Lancaster’s core values, the Curriculum Transformation Programme, and the needs of students, employers, and the global workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships across internal and external partners to secure the success of Lancaster Online.
  • Driving the use of data insights to enhance the student experience and marketing activities.
  • Expanding the University’s global reach by tapping into the career development-focused online student market.

This interim post, offered at 40-50% of workload for 6-8 months, is open to current academic staff at Senior Lecturer level or above. It includes a £5K annual stipend.
