Reporting to the Dean, Pilon School of Business (PSB), the Associate Dean is responsible for providing leadership to the faculty, staff and students in a number of specified programs within the Faculty. This includes leading the development, delivery and review of programs and supervision of teaching and learning processes within the Faculty to ensure quality and relevancy of program outcomes. It also includes the planning and administration of resources and the development of industry partnerships and initiatives in collaboration with other departments within the Faculty and College.
The Associate Dean plays a key role in attracting and developing talent, creating an engaging work environment and managing performance to ensure faculty commitment to quality teaching, professional development and currency in their discipline. He/she contributes to building a strong identity, positive reputation and a clear sense of direction of programs through educational objectives that are current with industry and community (including Program Advisory Committees and Applied Research projects), effective, relevant to student needs and consistent with the Faculty and College strategic direction.
The Associate Dean will work collaboratively with the leadership team, faculty and staff, to advance our strategic priorities, support business innovation in the region.

The campus is also home to EDGE – Sheridan’s entrepreneurship hub one of five renowned Centres for research and innovation at Sheridan. In collaboration with partners, EDGE provides new and growing ventures with mentorship, learning programs, co-working space and assistance to access funding to support changemakers as they explore entrepreneurial approaches to creating a more equitable and sustainable world. PSB is also home to an Enactus Sheridan – one of 77 such clubs in colleges and universities across Canada – whose business students join a collaborative environment to fail forward, ideate, co-create and develop socially-minded enterprises by putting their learnings from class into practice.
