JOB TITLE:

Associate Designer
Job Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Designer to become a vital part of our dynamic design team. This role will involve collaborating closely with the Young Contemporary/ Junior’s team and contributing significantly to the creative process, ensuring our commitment to producing beautiful and authentic designs with high-quality materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design , few years out of school preferred
• A minimum of two years of experience in juniors/ young contemporary categories
• Seeking someone who has their hand on what is trending, Gen Z focused
• A portfolio reflecting Illustrations , CADs, Mood/Trend boards
• An eye for detail regarding style, color, fabric, and construction techniques.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
• Note this is Hybrid Schedule, Contract for 2-3 months plus
• Fulltime hours ( 40 hrs or close to it)
  Rate: $35-45/hr DOE

• Conduct research on market trends, inspirations, and seasonal color palettes, recolor prints.
• Create hand sketches of initial concepts for the pattern maker
• Work in partnership with internal design teams and Design Director with design development.
• Manage sample shipments effectively.
• Handle various tasks as needed to meet project deadlines, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Participate in line review meetings with the Design Team to assess samples.
• Assist in all product-related initiatives.
