JOB DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will understand fabrications and sewing construction. Sketch & Cad projects assigned by the designer. Create tech packs for technical designers and pattern makers and help to coordinate product development from design through pre production.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Associate Degree in Fashion Design, or experienced in Fashion Design or related area
-Knowledge of garment construction for knit & woven tops, bottoms, and dresses
-Fluency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-Ability to create Tech Packs
-Sketching in Illustrator
-Tech Packs in Excel
- Adobe Suite savvy

-Assist designers with sketching & CAD’s using illustrator
-Create Tech Packs using Excel
-Work closely with Design on technical construction or fit issues
-Maintain and organize tech packs
-Review construction of garments and communicate to designers of any sewing problems
-Assist on projects needed by the designer
-Coordinate in house sampling which includes fabric swatches and TP’s for pattern and tech designers
-Organize seasonal swatch library
-Maintain and organize all sample racks accordingly
-Take pictures and update line sheets
-Assist above in everyday duties including, sketching flats, creating tech packs, pattern cards and line sheets and checking pitch sheets
-Performs other related duties requested by designers
