Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Development Architect to join our team contributing to shaping the strategy and scope of SAP’s Business Technology Platform AI capabilities.
Generative AI (GenAI) has emerged as a transformative force, with the ability to create, mimic, and innovate across a wide range of domains. This has significant implications for enterprise software and ultimately for SAP. SAP’s Business Technology Platform is shaping the future of enterprise software and is a key enabler for the transformation we’re on together with our customers. It is creating the ability to extend and personalize SAP applications, integrate, and connect entire landscapes, and empower business users to integrate processes and experiences. The Role
This role requires a self-directed team player with deep technical knowledge and business acumen. In this role, you will be working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Engineers and many others.

Your responsibility as an (Associate) Development Architect will be to:

• Ensure an aligned and consistent architecture of generative AI (GenAI) capabilities, as part of our products, or a specific architecture subject.
• Evaluate and estimate effort for business cases or backlog items and coordinate the same with the development teams.
• Ensure architectural integrity of solutions. Participate in research and Proof of Concept activities in the field of GenAI for BTP.
• Actively contribute to CPA AI workgroups related to AI topics.
• Write clean and maintainable code using best engineering practices (unit testing, automation, source control, design patterns etc.).
• Plan & run projects and initiatives along with your engagement lead, gather and define requirements and collaborate with customers & partners.
• Collaborate closely with our product management and technical stakeholders to create transparency and provide guidance on maximizing business value based on reuse and scaling effects.
• Actively drive feasibility efforts to ensure successful team completion of proof of concepts and GenAI projects.
