Typical tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Revenue Recognition and Analysis: Oversee the timely and accurate recognition of revenue in accordance with applicable accounting standards (such as ASC 606). Analyze revenue data to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth or efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate revenue transactions and resolve complex accounting issues related to contracts and billing.
• Financial Reporting and Revenue Analysis: Oversee the preparation and presentation of revenue-related financial analysis and reports, ensuring that all revenue activities comply with regulatory and company policies.
• Strategic Revenue Planning: Play a key role in the development of financial strategies and long-term goals related to revenue growth.
• Internal Controls and Revenue Compliance: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve robust internal control systems to safeguard revenue streams and ensure the integrity of revenue information. Ensure full compliance with all relevant revenue recognition standards, laws, and internal policies.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of revenue and general accounting professionals, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the revenue accounting department.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Contribute expertise to special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, or process improvements with a focus on revenue areas. Support strategic initiatives and manage ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
