Reports to the Cardio Metabolic Health (CMH) Business Unit Lead. The CMH Associate Director B2B is a pivotal leadership role within the CMH market, responsible for strategically driving substantial new business through value-based partnerships with wholesalers, pharmacy chains/associations/digital health care, and key health care providers including out-patient care centers, specialized centers, and practice networks.
This role requires extensive experience in business development and strategic account management, along with strong leadership capabilities to manage and mentor the B2B team. The position involves high-level face-to-face engagement with multiple providers of metabolic healthcare, facilitating strong and consistent sales growth while adhering to ethical engagement procedures.
Location: On-site presence at the Toronto office is expected approximately 10 times per month, based on business needs and manager discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field. MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in key account management, business development, marketing, or sales within the healthcare industry.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets or P&L responsibility is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • FR/EN bilingual preferred.

  • Identify and map private business opportunities across provinces and the country.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans, leveraging deep industry experience, strategic foresight, and an innovative mindset.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including wholesalers, pharmacy chains/associations/digital health care, and key health care providers including out-patient care centers, specialized centers, and practice networks.
  • Ensure product accessibility for HCPs and patients through various ordering systems (e.g., EMRs, wholesalers, retail, online pharmacies).
  • Establish compliant and meaningful external partnerships, and explore new types of partnerships and business deals.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the B2B team, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Bring innovative Trade Marketing solutions to grow core brands in the channel.
  • Provide data intelligence and strategic initiatives to support decision-making and exceed business targets, including KPI tracking and performance dashboards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the B2B team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance and efficient resource use
  • Report clear and accurate performance data.
  • Develop robust plans and identify commercial opportunities for the company, utilizing the capability to analyze complex data and identify untapped opportunities.
  • Determine the best approach to tap into these opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Act as a senior advisor to leadership on B2B strategy and market dynamics, contributing to long-term planning and innovation.
