Role Summary The Associate Director, Client Services is a client lead responsible for owning day-to-day client relationships, leading strategic planning, and ensuring high-quality delivery across assigned accounts. This role is accountable for client experience, strategy, execution, team leadership, and commercial outcomes, and serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal partners. The Associate Director plays a key role in delivering strong client experiences, translating client goals into effective marketing solutions, and leading internal teams, while continuing to build depth in strategic judgment, commercial ownership, and leadership at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic judgment, executive level communication skills, and the ability to connect business challenges to actionable marketing solutions. They are equally comfortable leading client conversations and guiding internal teams. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds trust quickly, and demonstrates a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset that strengthens both client partnerships and internal culture. Key Responsibilities (other duties as assigned) Client Leadership & Relationship Management Own the day-to-day client relationship on assigned accounts, serving as a primary point of contact. Serve as a trusted advisor, building strong, lasting client partnerships grounded in credibility and strategic thinking. Contribute POVs and guidance in client meetings, with increasing confidence and independence. Set clear standards for excellence in client experience, communication, and delivery. Strategic Planning & Account Growth Lead strategic planning efforts for assigned accounts, translating client goals into integrated, data-driven media and marketing solutions. Build deep expertise in clients’ businesses, industries, and growth drivers. Lead strategic account plans, proposals, and recommendations. Own account performance, revenue health, and organic growth across assigned accounts. Identify, develop, and lead opportunities to expand scopes of work and agency partnerships. Monitor performance to ensure work delivers measurable value. Cross Functional Collaboration & Delivery Oversight Act as a connector between client goals and internal execution teams, maintaining alignment throughout delivery. Collaborate with the planning, strategy and activation teams to understand strategic frameworks, plans, and recommendations with clear rationale and strategic frameworks. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across strategy, media, insights, product, and operations. Ensure internal and external processes, workflows, and cadences are followed consistently. Oversee reporting and analysis to ensure accuracy, clarity, and readiness for client delivery. Financial Stewardship Partner with finance and people operations on scoping, forecasting, and budget management for assigned accounts. Ensure strong financial stewardship through budgeting, forecasting, scoping, and profitability oversight. Partner with business development teams on pitches, renewals, and cross-sell initiatives. Team Leadership & Development Provide ongoing coaching and real-time feedback to junior team members. Set clear standards for excellence in client experience, communication, and delivery. Participate in hiring and onboarding of team members as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (marketing, advertising, communications, business, or similar) 5–6 years of experience in client services, account management, or media/marketing agency environments Experience owning client relationships or managing accounts with increasing responsibility Strong understanding of marketing principles, media strategy, and performance measurement Ability to lead teams, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver results with support as needed Clear communicator with strong presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills What Success Looks Like Clients experience consistent, proactive, and confident leadership across assigned accounts Accounts are owned independently and run smoothly end-to-end Strategic recommendations are thoughtful, well-supported, and increasingly anticipatory of client needs Account performance is tracked closely, with risks and opportunities identified early Internal teams are clear on priorities, timelines, and expectations, resulting in strong delivery and collaboration Financial processes, scoping, and reporting are accurate and well-managed Client trust continues to grow, with increasing responsibility and autonomy over time The Associate Director demonstrates readiness to take on greater account complexity and leadership scope We take care of you Noble People offers a generous time-off package of 15 PTO days per annum, Safe & sick days, Personal and Birthday PTO as well as Summer Fridays, Mental Health & Wellness days, and a Sabbatical Program if you are with the agency for 7 or more years.
