SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years in a corporate communications role with significant consultancy sector experience.
  • Excellent communications (oral and written) & presenting skills.
  • Strong knowledgeable of and adept at working with media - experience and connectivity with media in Ireland is essential and experience with international media is helpful.
  • Experience providing strategic counsel to senior clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client, colleague, and stakeholder relationships.

THE ROLE

Teneo Ireland is seeking applications from highly skilled and dynamic individuals for the role of Associate Director (Account Director) in Corporate Reputation Advisory.
Active in the Irish market for over a decade, we are a team of expert advisors supporting clients as they navigate the arenas of business, politics, and society. You will work with clients from some of Ireland’s and the world’s largest, important, influential and interesting organisations, operating in almost every sector of the economy.

ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE

As an Associate Director, you’ll be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients. You will be responsible for leading retainer and project activity, driving standards across account teams, and serving as a day-to-day lead and trusted advisor to your clients.
Associate Directors direct and lead activity and are responsible for leading, managing and coaching our Consultants and Associate Consultants, while reporting into and learning from more senior colleagues in the form of Directors and Managing Directors.
You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other strands of Teneo’s full-service offering to deliver integrated solutions to clients. This includes our Brand & Consumer Communications team, Digital & Creative team and Sports Advisory team as well as opportunities for collaboration with our Performance and Consulting team and our Financial Advisory team. In addition, there is opportunity and scope to collaborate with Teneo colleagues in our international offices on global client mandates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Associate Director at Teneo, you will:

  • Be a critical day-to-day strategic advisor for clients working alongside colleagues.
  • Develop and implement impactful communications solutions, plans and campaigns for clients to enhance corporate reputation and deliver client business objectives.
  • Ensure that both you and your colleagues apply the highest standards of excellence to deliver consistent and positive results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Teneo clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of your clients and their respective sectors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key business and political developments, both in Ireland and internationally, including any changes in the Irish political landscape.
  • Have strong existing relationships with media with an ability to develop new relationships as required and always being well informed of changes in the media.
  • Develop and implement effective media and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans for clients.
  • Oversee and support the development of written communication materials for clients to an excellent standard.
  • Oversee and ensure high quality reporting to demonstrate the value and impact of results.
  • Play an active role in new business development and new business pitches.
  • Be a proactive, supportive, and encouraging role model by being ambitious to achieve the best for your colleagues, your clients and yourself.
  • Be a professional, reliable, and values driven ambassador for Teneo in all ways.
  • Represent the company regularly at external networking events and other engagements.
