Overview:
Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of Fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. The Associate Director, Finance will be responsible for accounting and management reporting for Lupin’s R&D and manufacturing operations in Coral Springs, Florida as well as support other Finance department initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics; MBA preferred
  • 5-10 years of corporate finance in manufacturing or R&D operations
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience highly desirable; experience performing valuation (NPV) analysis a definite plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally with at all levels of management
  • Proactive, motivated, analytical and strategic thinker with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and requiring limited management oversight
  • Team player, capable of wearing multiple hats
  • Top-notch Excel skills: SAP experience desirable; other financial modeling experience a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.

Responsibilities
  • Working with R&D & PMO team on the project status updates and working out the corresponding impact on financials
  • Prepare monthly management reporting package, including, but not limited to, operating results, budget and forecast variances, R&D project spending and status updates, etc.
  • Lead the annual budget process and generate all required reports, schedules and presentation materials
  • Plan and track spending by project & working with projects team on regular updates and ensuring that the project is on track
  • Working with HR and respective departments across Lupin on the manpower hiring and planning.
  • Financial tracking of the construction of the new manufacturing facility
  • Tracking actuals and budgets for the project and ensuring adherence to the budgets.
  • Work with the IT and Finance teams to implement relevant ERP and other financial systems for the site
  • Post commercialization, financial reporting/costing and other activities for the regular manufacturing operations for the site
  • Prepare and maintain the 5-year Strategic Plan
  • Manage the capital expenditure process
  • Ensure compliance with all financial control, reporting and corporate governance procedures
  • Generate ad hoc reports and analytics as needed
  • Other projects, tasks and assignments as directed
