Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Administration and as a member of the Faculty’s Administration leadership team working closely with the heads of the Academic Affairs, Business Systems, Human Resources, and Infrastructure teams, the incumbent delivers a financial planning and compliance role.
Primary Responsibilities:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role with operational responsibilities ideally at a Canadian university or institution of higher education. A Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred. Experience with strategic planning and budgeting. Financial management and deep-dive analytical skills, including financial statement analysis and statistics. Excellent organizational skills. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to lead multi-functional work teams collaboratively with colleagues and peers. Must operate with discretion, integrity and tact. Possess excellent leadership skills and be able to lead and coach staff as well as collaborate with and advise senior academic and administrative staff. Performance and client oriented; able to meet deadlines and demonstrate a high level of leadership and professionalism. Experience using Banner FIS (including the Budget module) and HRIS systems, ideally Workday, as well as Crystal Reports, spreadsheet packages. Knowledge of SQL. Excellent ability to plan while being able to be adaptive to evolving needs and priorities. Solid proficiency in both English and French (written and oral) is preferred.
