For more information, visit wppmedia.com Role Summary and Impact WPP Media Hong Kong is seeking an Associate Finance Director to lead the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be instrumental in managing core accounting processes, providing strategic financial insights to drive leadership decisions, overseeing transactional operations, and ensuring robust internal controls and SOX compliance. This pivotal role also involves leading all audit engagements, supporting senior management and business leaders across the agency, and fostering a high-performing finance team. Core Responsibilities: Accounting Operations & Management Lead the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions which include operation and reporting, taxation, governance and compliance Manage daily accounts operations, including maintaining the general ledger, periodic financial statements and management reports Lead Billing/Invoicing, Accounts Receivables, and Accounts Payables functions and clients’ audit support Coordinate with SSC to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Financial Reporting & Analysis Provide input to management from the monthly analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and various KPI reports. Compliance, Governance & Audit Maintain SOX compliance and internal control systems. Lead annual audits and work closely with the auditors (external/internal/SOX), tax consultants, and statutory bodies. Business Partnership & Strategic Support Support MD and Business Leaders in management of the agency and departments. Manage in the development and execution of ad-hoc projects, as required by various stakeholders from time to time. Team Leadership & Development Oversee the daily assignments performed by Finance, and continually motivate the team to meet the finance objectives. Required Skills & Experience: Degree holder or above, preferably in Business/Commerce/Legal/Finance/Accounting Minimum 10 year relevant experience where at least 5-year as supervisory/ managerial level Qualified accountant with at least 12 years relevant experience in auditing and commercial experience Experience in external/ internal/ SOX audit exposure Proactive, meticulous and able to work independently, efficiently and under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment Well organized and detail minded Good team player, pro-active, aggressive and result oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal & communication skills with ability and confidence to work with all levels Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese Proficiency in MS Office Desired Skills & Experience: Knowledge in scaled and systematic accounting system is preferred Experience in Marketing Communication/Media/eCommerce would be an advantage Life at WPP Media & Benefits Our passion for shaping the next era of media includes investing in our employees to help them do their best work, and we’re just as committed to employee growth as we are to responsible media investment.
