BC Forward is looking for Associate Director of Accounting (Hybrid) in Indianapolis, IN 46204

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting (audit) experience strongly preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Strong financial reporting expertise with excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; Oracle experience is a plus.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong operational and process documentation skills, including Accounts Receivable, revenue accounting, financial reporting (financial statements/footnotes preparation), audit background, and process workflow development.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Indianapolis, IN 4620

Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Cash, Investments, and Championship Accounting functions.
  • Support close activities by performing and reviewing reconciliations, and providing guidance on financial reporting.
  • Lead year-end closing processes and assist with preparation for the annual financial statement audit.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules; collaborate with external auditors to address questions and provide follow-up.
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and footnotes.
  • Support preparation of Form 990 and other required tax filings.
  • Serve as staff liaison for banking and investment relationships.
  • Serve as staff liaison for the Board of Governors Investment Subcommittee.
  • Administer approximately $600 million in revenue distribution to association membership.
  • Oversee administration of various grant and scholarship programs.
  • Provide formal and informal performance feedback to staff.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
