We are looking for a skilled, detail oriented, Registered Nurse with behavioral health and supervisory experience to serve as an Assistant Director of Nursing. In this supervisory role, you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical oversight and support for nursing services at the Norfolk Regional Center.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will:

  • Serve in support of the Director of Nursing covering supervision of approximately 135 nursing staff.
  • W ill serve as the Infection Control Nurse, assisting with immunizations for annual flu shot clinic and new employees.
  • Will assist the Learning and Development department with ongoing education and training.
  • Will coordinate nursing students clinicals.
  • Assist with recruitment and interviewing of MHS, LPN, and RN candidates.
  • Complete secondary evaluations of staff.
  • Assist with developing nursing schedules and provide oversight of the daily assignments to ensure adequate coverage of all units.
  • Will serve as a support to the Administrative Nurses and Team Leaders to help with consistency of provided services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing by serving on committees as identified by the Director of Nursing, being involved with staff discipline issues as needed.
  • Serve as the Director of Nursing in their absence.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Works every 6th weekend 6:45am-3:15pm. Works after-hours on-call rotation along with the administrative nurses/nurse supervisors.
Pay Rate: $41.768/hour - $62.651. Pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved. $3/hour facility differential pay and shift differential pay in addition to hourly pay rate.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska and one year of experience assigning, reviewing, leading, or supervising the work of others.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years Behavioral Health experience and one year supervision of staff is preferred. Valid driver’s license.
