Description Associate Director of Sales Lifestyle Hotel – Managed by Marriott International The Associate Director of Sales supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in executing the hotel’s sales strategy and achieving revenue goals across all market segments. This role combines proactive selling, leadership, and strategic planning to drive top-line performance while embodying Marriott’s values and service culture. The ideal candidate is a results-driven hospitality professional who thrives in a lifestyle hotel environment and excels at building relationships, mentoring team members, and uncovering new revenue opportunities. Key Responsibilities Revenue Strategy & Planning · Assist in developing and executing the hotel’s annual Sales & Marketing Plan. · Support the achievement of budgeted room, catering, and total hotel revenue goals. · Partner closely with Revenue Management to align sales strategies with demand patterns and pricing. · Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and production reporting in CI · Analyze STR reports, market intelligence, and account performance to identify opportunities. Proactive Selling & Business Development · Maintain a portfolio of key corporate group accounts. · Prospect and secure new business through cold outreach, networking, and industry events. · Conduct sales calls, virtual presentations, and property site inspections. · Negotiate contracts and close business aligning with Marriott brand standards and dreamscape standards. · Represent the hotel at trade shows, community events, and brand initiatives. Leadership & Team Development · Support coaching, mentoring, and performance management of the sales team. · Help drive accountability for sales goals, prospecting activity, and production targets. · Step in as sales leader in the absence of the Director of Sales & Marketing. · Foster strong collaboration with Event Management, Operations, Marketing, and Revenue teams. Brand & Culture · Serve as a brand ambassador for dreamscape and the hotel’s lifestyle positioning. · Ensure all sales practices align with Marriott and dreamscape policies, tools, and compliance standards. · Build partnerships within the local community to enhance brand visibility and demand. Required Qualifications · 4–7+ years of hotel sales experience; Marriott hotel experience preferred. · Previous Senior Sales Manager or Assistant Director of Sales experience preferred. · Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. · Strong knowledge of corporate, group, and SMERF segments. · Experience with Marriott systems strongly preferred: o CI/TY (Customer Information Tool) o MARSHA / Lightspeed · Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. · Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
