Description
At AstraZeneca, we pride ourselves on crafting a collaborative culture that champions knowledge-sharing, ambitious thinking and innovation – ultimately providing employees with the opportunity to work across teams, functions and even the globe. Recognizing the importance of individualized flexibility, our ways of working allow employees to balance personal and work commitments while ensuring we continue to create a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork by engaging face-to-face in our offices 3 days a week. Our dedication to sustainability is also central to our culture and part of what makes AstraZeneca a great place to work. We know the health of people, the planet and our business are interconnected which is why we’re taking ambitious action to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to access to healthcare and disease prevention. The role: The Business Process Management Optimization (BPMO) team powers how DevOps delivers—turning strategy into simple, reliable, compliant ways of working that improve speed, quality, and experience. In this role you will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of high‑impact DevOps processes. You will partner with Functional Process Experts (FPEs), Quality, Learning, and business leaders to make processes effective, efficient, and ICH‑GCP compliant—so AZ and CRO teams can do the right thing the first time. What you’ll do: Set the agenda: Define scope and priorities for new and optimized processes with stakeholders and FPEs; land changes into DevOps. Design and deliver: Use the BPMO toolkit (charter, plan, SIPOC, traceability, cut‑over, release notes, learning plans) to build, implement, and sustain processes; maintain risk/change logs and periodic reviews. Prove performance: With the BPMO Analyst, define metrics/KPIs for compliance and effectiveness; drive action from insights. Unlock efficiency: Apply Lean and introduce automation/process mining/analytics where they add value and remain compliant. Enable adoption: Co-create documentation and training with PQL and Business Learning Leads; support audits and inspections. What you’ll bring: Education: Post-Secondary degree Experience: At least 5 years of experience in process design/optimization within complex or regulated environments; working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma is a huge asset. Leadership: Strong stakeholder management, change leadership, and project/risk management. Communication & data: Clear communicator; confident with metrics/KPIs and performance storytelling. Impact you’ll have: Better audit outcomes and ICH‑GCP adherence Faster cycle times and higher right‑first‑time rates High user adoption and sustained performance Tangible value against the DevOps Scorecard Are you interested in working at AZ, apply today!
