The Enterprise Data Team, part of the Digital Core Organization in Tech@Lilly, collaborates to accelerate business decisions through innovative enterprise data and analytics solutions, and frictionless access to trusted, AI-ready data products. We work globally with our cross-functional Tech@Lilly partners to strategically align their needs with our fully integrated and intuitive data and analytics ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager to lead data and analytics products within the Tech@Lilly organization. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction, development, and delivery of our data and analytics portfolio, ensuring alignment with Eli Lilly’s broader business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in product management, data, storytelling, and technology; along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product management, with experience on data and analytics products. Experience in leading and delivering complex products in a technology-driven organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience in data and analytics technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes, analytics tools, data engineering, AI/ML, and data governance (catalog/marketplace). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus..
  • Project Management Skills: Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align) is preferred.
  • Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and security standards relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Experience implementing data governance practices is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy: Define and execute the strategic vision for data and analytics products, ensuring alignment with company goals. Lead as a Product Manager while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Product Development and Adoption: Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, business stakeholders) to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery. Monitor adoption, usage, and make recommendations on product maintenance, refresh, or retirement.
  • Product Planning and Execution: Own the execution of Enterprise Data Quarterly PI Planning. Guide and empower the product engineering team to scope, plan, and deliver work using established delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile) and best practices (e.g., reusability).
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress clearly to ensure alignment and support across the organization.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape. Conduct research to identify new opportunities, assess demand, and inform product positioning.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Encourage experimentation, exploration of emerging technologies, and adoption of best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, data privacy, and security standards.
