In this vital role, you will lead the Project Controls function across Amgen’s capital project portfolio in continental Europe, with a primary focus on our manufacturing site in Breda, Netherlands. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational excellence of project controls, including estimating, scheduling, cost forecasting, risk management, and procurement strategy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
o Leading all project controls activities from funding through close-out, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
o Partnering with local and regional stakeholders to develop business cases and manage project funding processes.
o Providing governance and strategic oversight across a diverse portfolio of capital projects.
o Developing and managing conceptual and detailed estimates, schedules, and risk analyses.
o Overseeing procurement strategies, contractor negotiations, and performance evaluations.
o Presenting monthly cost and project status reports to executive leadership.
o Leading and mentoring a team of cost managers and schedulers, including external partners.
o Driving digital transformation initiatives in project delivery and controls.
o Ensuring effective Procure-to-Pay processes and contract close-outs.
o Acting as a key liaison with Engineering, Finance, Facilities, and other internal partners.
This role is site-based in Breda, Netherlands, with a minimum of four days per week on-site.
