Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director with a strong water background to be based from our Glasgow office. You will be accountable to a steering group for direction and governance of the project, for optimising the required benefits at an acceptable level of risk. You will provide leadership and direction and own the project vision and strategy. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Gain relevant board approval for the project’s vision and strategy. Approve and implement the project’s execution plan. Promote a culture focused on cross-organisation, collaborative working which acts in the interests of the client as a whole. Ensure the project evolves to reflect changes in the socio-political environment, policy, strategic objectives, business priorities and emergent risks Funds and resources are allocated where needed and each capacity and capability are sufficient to meet the needs Ensure resource investments to implement projects are defined, maintained and kept up to date. Secure the investment to implement project and its support systems, tools and environment. Manages key external stakeholders. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Project management discipline, to include: Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters. Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues. Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project. Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan. Advising upon the procurement of resources. Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team. Monitoring and applying performance management techniques. Managing the change control process. Monitoring and advising upon project finances. Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications. Preparing formal project progress and other reports. Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages. Qualifications NEC accredited Project Manager Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering/Construction) Experience working on major water and utilities projects Additional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
