The Role We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Director – Quantum Lead to join our dynamic team in Sydney. In this pivotal role, you will support leading Quantum experts by undertaking significant tasks across our service streams, including providing expert services for construction and insurance clients, as well as offering claims and project advisory. In this position you will be required to: Work closely with Quantum experts as a trusted advisor on dispute resolution, litigation support, and expert witness evidence. Act as Lead Assistant, overseeing technical reports, expert reports, and client strategy recommendations. Independently author expert reports and claims responses/rebuttals, ensuring clarity, brevity, and impactful communication. Lead the quantification of cost overruns and damages, including measurement take-offs, delay analysis, and estimate preparation. Build a comprehensive understanding of the issues relevant to legal disputes on large-scale projects. Draft, manage, and lead the preparation of claims, including extensions of time, prolongation, and disruption. Secure new client appointments and strive to continuously identify and deliver business development initiatives for the business. Mentor and review the work of junior staff, supporting their technical development. Proactively contribute to a positive, inclusive culture and the continued success and reputation of Rimkus. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management/ Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years’ industry experience working for a construction or engineering contractor and/or specialist consultancy. Excellent written and verbal skills. Experience in writing or contributing to Quantum Expert reports. Achieved or working towards MRICS (desirable). Experience working on contentious claims (highly regarded), especially arbitration and/or other formal claims resolution. Excellent communication skills. Why Join Rimkus?
