YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • extensive experience in managing and delivering a program of work in risk management or related field
  • experience applying business resilience and risk assessment techniques
  • excellent business acumen and strategic thinking skills together with effective leadership and people management skills
  • proven experience in leading teams to continuously improve team strategy, delivery and influence culture across an organisation.
  • proven experience in data analysis, program tracking and reporting.
  • strong knowledge of the field of risk management services and organisational resilience including planning and design of risk plans/processes that support organisational effectiveness
  • effective management of a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with industry providers
  • ideally Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience in management and business administration or relevant technical domain, and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Responsibilities
  • lead the risk management team in continuously improving and implementing the Risk Management Strategy, risk management related initiatives and risk management services
  • lead the continuous development and improvement of the University’s enterprise risk management and organisational resilience frameworks
  • build and maintain effective working relationships and strong rapport with key stakeholders to proactively influence compliance to Risk Management and Organisational resilience Frameworks and build University risk culture maturity
  • continuously improve, implement and manage risk exposure measurement and monitoring
  • continuously improve, implement, and analyse risk insights arising from the amalgamation of the risk management team’s work
  • lead and manage the drafting of risk management reports to University Executive and Senate
  • drive and track portfolio efficiencies
  • identify and deliver specific Risk Management Projects
  • provide strategic advice to the Chief Risk Officer and other team members on risk related insights.
