JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Director, Scientific Strategy is a hybrid role on Klick’s Medical Communications and Innovation team, blending high-caliber medical writing with emerging leadership in scientific strategy. This role is ideal for a scientific communicator who excels in crafting compelling, accurate content and is eager to contribute to the strategic direction of innovative medical engagement initiatives. You’ll work independently on complex content development projects while progressively contributing to the strategic planning and execution of medical communications deliverables across therapeutic areas. Reporting to a senior strategy leader, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated, forward-thinking solutions to clients.

SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:



    • Combines a thorough understanding of the therapeutic area with product strategy to ensure communication objectives are met on assigned projects

    • Able to identify and leverage relevant, focused resources to understand the underlying science and product strategy related to assigned projects
    • Able to work across multiple therapeutic areas
    • Able to learn new therapeutic areas quickly and apply new knowledge
    • Demonstrates an ability to use a range of resources and tools for efficiency (e.g. scientific databases, approval software, referencing software)

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



      • 5+ years of experience in a medical communications or medical education agency

      • Able to work across therapeutic areas with a high degree of scientific acumen and adaptability
      • Experienced across a breadth of medical communications strategic and tactical deliverables
      • Scientific degree, PhD or MD preferred
      • Passionate about innovation in scientific communication and eager to evolve into a strategic leadership role
      • Comfort with and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your work
