Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Capital Markets (Canada) is hiring Senior Business Systems Analyst to join its e-Communications Surveillance Technology team in the Quantitative & Technology Services’ (QTS) Data, Cloud & Compute stream. As a Global Bank operating in Markets and Retail business, it is a regulatory requirement to perform surveillance of all communications channels within the bank. Compliance sponsored electronic communication surveillance program is implemented to avoid the risk of regulatory fines due to any non-compliance. The roadmap for this program includes expanding the current coverage to RBC’s multiple retail businesses that trade securities to meet the increasing regulatory expectations and scrutiny. What Will You Do? Partners With Business Stakeholders To Elicit, Analyze, And Document Workflows, Process Flows, Data And Document Attribute Requirements For Surveillance Platform; apply Various Elicitation Techniques To Gather Requirements And Regularly Maintain The Backlog; translates Requirements From Various Stakeholders Into Functional Requirements For Implementation Of Development And Testing Teams Develop Subject Matter Expertise And An End To End Understanding Of The Various Business Process That Support Surveillance (Communication Archiving, Channel Interface Teams, Legal Etc) Coordinate And Partner With External Vendor + Internal Development Teams To Build Solutions For Business Needs; configure Or Provide Configuration Requirements To Implement Data/Document/Orchestration Requirements In Smarsh (Or Equivalent Surveillance Saas Vendor) Participate / Conduct Or Coordinate User Acceptance Testing And Validation Of Systems - E.G. Creation Of User Test Scripts, Guided Walkthroughs With End Users Investigate And Provide Root Cause Analysis To Various Defects And Change Requests Develop And Maintain Training Materials For End Users During System Roll Out; collaborate With Cross Functional Teams To Improve End To End System Processes Participation In Various Agile Or Waterfall SDLC Rituals (E.G. Scrum, Grooming, Retrospect, Walkthroughs, Etc. Partners With External Vendor + Development Teams To Build Solutions For Business Needs; partners With Other Technology Partners Within The Bank To Agree On Integration Requirements - E.G. Maintain Data Mappings, Flow Document What Do You Need To Succeed? Must Have Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Or A Related Field along with 6+ Years Of Experience As A Business Systems Analyst, Strong Requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation and maintenance skills; understands the need to breakdown requirements into manageable chunks; Validates requirements with stakeholders; manifest an end-to-end understanding of a business process to understand business needs and identify areas of improvement Experience in using various elicitation techniques - and knows when/how to use the proper elicitation technique during requirements gathering sessions; experience in maintaining / grooming the backlog; maintaining Requirements Traceability Experience in creating BRDs or FRDs or User stories, Creating process or Data flow Diagrams; Experience in Agile Business Analysis Tools such as JIRA, Confluence; Experience in Stakeholder management; Experience In Specifying And Articulating Process Flows, Data Mappings, Systems Interaction And Data Integration Requirements Excellent Problem-Solving, Analytical, strong Communication Skills; ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Priorities In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressured Environment; commitment To Maintain Confidentiality And Data Security; ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams; proactive Mindset With A Focus On Delivering Results Nice to have Strong Knowledge Of Compliance And Surveillance Technology/Surveillance Systems Experience Having Dealt With Any Of The Below Vendors (Smarsh/Behavox/Proofpoint/Bvault/ Or Any Other Surveillance Platform) Financial Industry experience, or capital markets (strongly preferred) What's in it for you?
