At Lilly in Germany, we are currently planning and building a high-tech production facility in Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate), which will expand our production of injectable drugs from 2027 and employ up to 1,000 specialists. To make the most of our innovative production site, we are looking for motivated reinforcements who, together with us, will ensure the supply of Lilly medicines in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, in line with the three Lilly values of “Excellence,” “Integrity,” and “Respect for People.”

Responsibilities

As the Associate Director - Supply Chain, you will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain and Logistics and become an integral part of our dynamic Supply Chain and Logistics Lead team. You will play a key role in creating standard operating processes for planning and purchasing activities, ensuring materials are readily available for ramp up and routine operations. You will also have the rewarding task of building and leading a talented team to support our production operations. Your leadership will be essential in overseeing supply chain activities in planning and material purchasing for the Alzey manufacturing site

  • With your expertise in Supply Chain and your leadership experience you will support site start-up and lead Supply Chain planning and purchasing operations.
  • You will hire staff according to the provided hiring plan.
  • You will train, support, and develop all staff within your organization.
  • You will lead your team to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives.
  • You will partner with Warehouse operations to ensure robust inventory management.
  • You will govern master data (materials, BOMs, Recipes, Resources)
  • You will participate in developing and deploying continuous improvement strategies, including 6 sigma and lean methodologies.
  • You will create, deploy, and comply with GMP procedures, providing expertise in planning operations.
