Job Overview
This position is responsible for developing, managing, administering and communicating an efficient, cost effective, best in class, global corporate travel and expense program and the global meetings and events program.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and recommend revisions to the company’s corporate “Travel and Expenses and the Meetings and Events Policy and Procedure Manual” as necessitated by changing industry trends and conditions as well as the evolving needs of company’s business travelers.
  • Monitor the travel management company’s level of staffing and service to determine whether or not they meet the contractual parameters; communicate to them any necessary adjustments and confirm their implementation; audit all billings before approving them for payment.
  • Negotiate all travel-related vendor contracts, including those for the travel management companies, airline, hotel, car rental, limousine and other suppliers, to acquire the optimum level of service at the lowest logical cost. Monitor employee compliance to said contracts. Establish an annual, global hotel program, and publish and maintain on travel website.
  • Oversee, in collaboration with the designated travel agency, the evaluation and adoption of new third party automation, such as online, self-booking tools. Maintain communication with travelers, travel arrangers and senior management, through use of a dedicated web page, emails, seminars, etc., encouraging compliance with travel program.
  • Leads the planning, sourcing and negotiating of all meetings and events falling under the global corporate policies.
