Position Summary The Associate Director is responsible for defining, building, and implementing market access strategies to ensure patient access to the company’s medicines across public and private sectors. This role acts as a strategic leader, technical reference, and connector among multifunctional areas (Market Access, HEOR, Pricing, Medical, Marketing, Government Affairs, Field Access), promoting integration, stakeholder engagement, and tactical execution aligned with brand and company objectives. The Associate Director also ensures execution of access strategy through Health Technology Assessment (HTA) processes, disseminates value messages, and identifies HEOR opportunities, looking for innovative approaches to guarantee and expand access in both private and public markets. This position will be also responsible for leading Access Field teams, responsible for the access strategies execution in Key Accounts, Private and Public Payers. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement market access strategies (private and public), aligned with the company’s portfolio and pipeline, by leading a field access team. Lead strategic account plans and manage negotiation and purchasing contracts with private and public payers and key institutions. Map, engage, and build relationships with institutional stakeholders, decision-makers, influencers, payers, and medical services. Integrate and partner with Government Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Logistics, Finance, Medical, Advocacy, HEOR, Pricing, and field teams. Anticipate trends, identify threats and opportunities in the healthcare system, and propose innovative alternatives and strategies. Participate in industry events, representing the company’s vision and expanding networking. Develop and implement engagement plans and generate real-world evidence (RWD) to support access. Ensure tactical execution of strategies, coordinating training, materials, and communication for field teams and customers. Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies based on market feedback and results. Ensure the Value Proposition is updated and aligned with payer requirements and brand strategies, looking for innovative approaches. Engage payers on the importance of health economics analysis for decision-making and support local execution of these analyses. Identify unmet needs from internal and external stakeholders and transform them into opportunities. Support and train the field access team for the implementation of access projects and initiatives. Translate key HEOR messages into appropriate language for Medical and Marketing teams to use with their stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD) preferred. Preferentially but not limited to Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Pharmacy, Law, or related fields. Experience: 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience, with commercial experience preferred and minimum of 6 years in roles related to market access, strategy, HEOR, HTA, government affairs, or related areas. 2+ years of people management experience preferred. Experience in managing a portfolio of brands in different points of their life cycle (launch, grow, mature) Experience and/or knowledge in oncology studies is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: Understanding of regulatory policies and impact of public relations in Brazilian Market Solid experience in managing complex stakeholders and knowledge of healthcare regulations. Knowledge in health market data analysis, clinical data interpretation, and outcomes measurement. Strategic thinking, analytical skills, leadership, negotiation, teamwork, and strong interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to work in multifunctional and matrix environments. Success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior management. Excellence in communication and presentations, including advanced English. Proactivity, innovation, sense of urgency, and accountability. Availability for frequent travel and external visits. Proficiency in analytical tools, KPI tracking, and project management. Fluency in analytical models (e.g., journey decisioning engine) and ability to translate analytics from BI&A teams into actionable strategies.
