Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an Associate Director - Wholesale Banking Analyst to join our high performing Sydney team. This is a 1st line credit analyst role, working closely with our Relationship Management team to prepare credit submissions for Rabobank Australia’s Wholesale customers.
The objectives of this role are to support Wholesale in realising its strategic ambitions by actively participating in deal teams, preparing credit submissions, & performing pro-active risk management/monitoring. The role ensures that all activities are based on a robust risk framework & strong risk culture.

TOP ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Preparation of high-quality credit submission proposals. Assessment of the proposal & compliance with Credit Risk Policies, Risk Appetite & previous credit approvals (where applicable).
  • Analysis of Business Risks including non-financial risks (sustainability & management assessment).
  • Analysis of Financial Risks including critical analysis of historical & forecast financial performance with appropriate sensitivities conducted.
  • Determination of credit risk parameters including the Probability of Default (risk rating) & Loss Given Default.
  • Completion of annual credit reviews in a timely manner & ensure special conditions/covenants are recorded & monitored & satisfied in a timely manner (maintained within risk tolerance levels).
  • Establish strong working relationships with all stakeholders including attending customer meetings where appropriate.
  • In conjunction with the relationship manager identify opportunities (including prospect names).
