We are a business that continues to invest and grow, and our people are central to that journey About the Role Due to ongoing growth in our Wholesale Banking business across Australia and New Zealand, we are seeking an Associate Director to join our Portfolio Management team. This is a front-line credit role, embedded in deal teams, where you will partner closely with Relationship Managers, Product Specialists and Risk to support origination, structuring and ongoing management of complex lending transactions. In this role, you will play a critical part in enabling the bank’s strategic growth ambitions while maintaining a disciplined and robust risk framework. You will have exposure to a high-quality, diversified wholesale portfolio and the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team within an established and expanding franchise. Key Responsibilities: Credit Application Preparation & Risk Assessment Prepare clear, concise and high-quality credit submissions in line with Rabobank’s credit risk policies, underwriting standards and risk appetite Analyse business, non-financial and sustainability risks, including sector dynamics Undertake detailed financial analysis, including historical performance, forecasts and sensitivities Assess group structures, legal entities and counterparty risk Determine and support key credit risk parameters such as PD and LGD Client Monitoring & Portfolio Management Complete annual client credit reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring, including covenant compliance and special conditions Proactively identify and respond to emerging client or portfolio risks Contribute to portfolio insights, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives To be successful you will have: Qualifications and Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification desirable Minimum 5 years’ experience in a wholesale or institutional banking environment, within credit analysis, credit approval or portfolio management Skills & Capabilities Strong credit and risk assessment capability with sound commercial judgement High-quality financial analysis and structured problem-solving skills Confident written and verbal communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment What we are proud to offer you: A competitive remuneration package will be offered for the successful candidate. Responsibilities
