Overview of position The International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the RCSLT’s international, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes research focusing on speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, and other relevant aspects of speech & language therapy. We are seeking a new Associate Editor in the area of adult-focused research to join our supportive IJLCD editorial team. The role of Associate Editor offers the post-holder the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the dissemination of quality research in speech & language therapy. Who we are The role What we are looking for The successful candidate for this position will: Have a PhD in a relevant academic discipline Possess a proven track record (peer-reviewed publications, presentations at conferences, and/or other research enabling activities) within adult-focused research Have experience of carrying out peer-review Commit to carrying out the role for a minimum term of three years Be able to participate in four editorial team meetings a year Experience as an SLT and membership of the RCSLT is desirable. What we can offer you This role receives an honorarium of around £2,500 annually. We are hoping that the successful applicant will be able to join the IJLCD team immediately on appointment. Responsibilities
The Associate Editor will contribute to the dissemination of quality research in speech and language therapy for the IJLCD journal. Responsibilities include managing peer reviews and participating in four editorial team meetings per year.
