The Associate Editor Audience Engagement will be primarily responsible for curation and maintenance of ESPN.com’s content feeds, mainly interior sports content landing pages. On a daily basis, this person will assess content from a variety of sources (stories, videos, streams, scores) to determine how it fits into our daily news coverage and programming needs. The editor evaluates all sport page copy, headlines, art and video and works to package this content in a manner that is dynamic enough to entice users to delve deeper into the site. Must have excellent news judgment and a keen eye for audience engagement strategies. Must show good judgment in prioritizing content for a national audience.
This position will require working a mix of nights and weekends. Location will be Los Angeles, CA.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $57,200 to $78,600 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
