Description Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete seeks an associate with 2-3 years of employment law experience, based in the state of Virginia and admitted to the Virginia Bar or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar. The candidate for this role will ideally reside in Northern Virginia for both remote and in-person work in the firm’s Fairfax office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Additionally, experience with witness interviews and the drafting of Statements of Position for the EEOC is highly valued. Significant experience in labor and employment law is preferred. Candidate must have good academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
