Description The San Diego office of Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete seeks an associate attorney with 4-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions primarily in matters in state and federal court and arbitration involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, etc., in addition to providing advice and counsel support to clients. Significant experience in labor and employment law is preferred; but candidates with strong litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law will be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or familiarity with class action defense and PAGA related matters but not required. Must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We expect to consider qualified candidates within the range of $200k-$230k; however, we do make hiring decisions based on each candidate’s unique experience, as well as additional factors. Must be admitted to practice in California. Hybrid working flexibilities are available.
