Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Job Duties:

  • Provide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development of new technologies within a local laboratory and be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable
  • Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing and have the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities
  • Interact with customers on technical issues and questions and provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
  • Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders and assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratory and carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
  • Utilize an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis and be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business and working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
  • Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Possess strong computer skills
