The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate Equipment and Tool Engineer to support our team in Berkeley, Missouri.
Primary Responsibilities
Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
Supports studies for disposition of assets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Basic knowledge of Drawing and Design Standards
Basic Knowledge of Geometric Distancing & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Basic CAD CAM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

Basic Knowledge of manufacturing process

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
